Cleveland Cavaliers' Donyell Marshall Maybach 62 JL Audio Woofer Upgrade
This vehicle was lacking sub bass and the goal was to add more quality bass with greater impact. A single JL Audio 10W6 woofer was tasked with providing the bass upgrade ran off a JL Audio 500/1 amplifier. Further, a custom safe was built into the subwoofer enclosure to provide a secure hiding space for valuables.
The woofer enclosure consists of a 1/2" clear acrylic face that was custom bent to form with the curve of the trim panel and etched with the Maybach logo lit by LEDs. the interior of the enclosure was trimmed in matching suede. The woofer trim panel was color matched to the interiors wood grain and blue coloring (not my first choice of colors)
The system was mounted to the rear deck utilizing factory bolt holes and the amplifier was located in the trunk well.
A video in motion module was incorporated to provide the front screen with video and a PC was added to the system as a mobile office suite.
Installation was performed in 2009
