Out with the factory headrests and in with the color matched DVD Headrests. Each headrest replaced has a built in DVD player located behind the screen and a pair of auxiliary A/V inputs for hooking up a game, iPod, or a tablet.
The challenges that this installation posed was that the front headrest are considered "active headrests" which extend out about 2" if the vehicle was hit from behind. As high tech as it sounds, no one liked them and always opted to have the headrest replaced with video screens. We designed an interface that allowed for the replacement of the headrest without setting off an airbag fault.
